My Dad was a Champion race horse named Octagonal. I’m very gentle and kind. I have lots of love to share and really enjoy looking after all of my riders and the volunteers.

If you want to spoil me: Give me lots of rubs and feed me liquorice (in moderation so my belly doesn’t get too big)

My real name was sunscreen. I’m a bay gelding and love working at RDA with the riders. I got the tick of approval as soon as I started.

There’s something truly special about watching Ruby care for her rider with such calm, gentle confidence, lovingly guided every step of the way by Steve. The connection between Steve and Ruby is unmistakable — a quiet understanding, a shared trust, and a partnership that brings out the very best in both horse and rider.

Together, they create a safe, supportive space where the rider can relax, grow, and shine. It’s moments like these that capture the heart of what we do at Mudgee RDA — teamwork, compassion, and the magic that happens when people and horses connect.

Hi, I’m Tracy

I’m a full time working mum and love volunteering with RDA and has been my passion since I started. Seeing the achievements of our riders brings me great joy.

Hi, I’m Brian

I’m retired with an extensive career in businesses. I come along to RDA a few years ago and now I am hooked, that much so that I took on the challenge of being mentored by Tracy and working my way through the ranks of coaching.

I am keen to see the centre grow and provide more opportunities to our region with RDA and offer this chance to as many as we can.

Pink Up Mudgee

All of us at Mudgee RDA would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fran for gifting the Mudgee Public School students their bright pink hats in support of Pink Up Mudgee. Your generosity brought huge smiles, a splash of colour, and a wonderful sense of community spirit to the day.

Your kindness helps raise awareness in such a meaningful way, and we are truly grateful for the support you show our local kids and our wider community.
